Finding a Widget on Your Page

If you are having trouble locating a widget on your page and want to edit it, here are a couple steps to follow to figure out where it is on your page and in the edit window.

Step 1: Go to your page in Cascade and identify the region where your widget is.

If you have a two column page…

If you have a three column page…

Note: Make sure that you are looking at your page in a full window. If you have your window smaller than usual, some widgets will be moved around to accommodate the smaller screen size.

Step 2: Once you identify which region your widget is located in and decide you want to edit it, click edit.

Step 3: The editing pop-up will display basic information about your page in the first section. In the next section, you will see regions that represent different areas on your page that you can edit. Select the region where your widget is located.

Step 4: If there is only one widget in the region you are looking at, then it will appear right when the collapsible region expands.

Region with one widget

However, if you use more than one widget, you will have to count how many you have in a given region and select the corresponding one in the edit menu.

For example, let’s say you want to change the text for the button on the right column of the page shown below.

You would go to the right column region in the edit window.

Since the button is the third widget in the right column, you would scroll through and find the widget that has “(3/3)” next to it. That means that the button is the third widget out of the three widgets being used.

Step 5: Click “Save & Preview” to see the changes you have made. If you need to make more edits, follow Steps 3 and 4 again to go back to your widget.

If you are satisfied with your content, go ahead and submit the page for approval and you are done.
