Hiding A Page From the Left Navigation and/or Search

This is an article explaining how to hide a page from the left navigation and search. This is usually used when you create a new page, but you are not ready for it to go live on Chapman.edu.

Step 1: Select the page you’re going to update and click “Edit.”

Note: Make sure that the page you want to edit is highlighted in the site content menu.

Step 2: The editing pop-up will display basic information about your page in the first section. The last two options you will see are “Hide from Navigation” and “Hide from Search.”

Step 4: To confirm these changes, select “Save & Preview” and submit the page for approval and you are done.

Note: Any changes to the left-hand site navigation will require a full site publish for changes to reflect on every page, so your changes might not be seen immediately.
