Getting Started: Strategic Marketing and Communications

Strategic Marketing and Communications (SMC) is the centralized branding and marketing department of Chapman University.

The main focus of SMC is to promote the reputation and enhance the recognition of Chapman University. This is done through centralized marketing campaigns, campus partner marketing efforts, event promotions and more.

This department consists of approximately 40 staff members from five interconnected teams:

Branding and Marketing Expertise

SMC was created as a central resource to help bridge the marking and communication efforts across campus and create a unified marketing effort. Additionally, SMC provides deeper marketing knowledge and expertise to campus partners through trainings, direct support and consultation.
